A Whisper of Freedom
I enjoy historical fiction; it's one of my favorite genres. During the past year, I had the privilege to read Book One and Book Two in Tricia Goyer's Spanish Civil War Series. You can read my reviews for these books here and here.Because I enjoyed the first two books so much, I was excited to read the final book in the series, A Whisper of Freedom. In this novel, Sophie, an American in Spain, works to escape Spain with a large golden treasure. She does this along with her friends Walt and Phillip, not for herself, but for the sake of the Spanish people. Things are not always as they seem, however, and all of the characters, along with Sophie's former fiance Michael, learn a great deal about themselves and each other as the story unfolds.
Like the first two books in the series, A Whisper of Freedom is a page-turner. I enjoyed reading it, and I was so glad to have all my questions from the first two novels answered. I encourage you to read this series!
As part of the blog tour, I am playing along with this fun meme. These questions go along with the theme of golden treasure.
List three charities/missions/organizations you support (and why).
1. Although I don't consider it a charity, we primarily give to our church. I consider this more of a responsibility and a blessing. We are thankful to be able to give back from what God has given us.
List the last three things you've lost.
1. My keys.
List the last three things you've found.
List three things you would do with a chest full of gold (assuming you got to keep it!)
1. First, I would give to my church.

2. Then, I would save a good portion.
3. Finally, I would take some fun trips with my family. (I am sure a trip to Disney World would be on the list.)

2. St. Jude's (because it breaks my heart to think of sick children without a cure).
3. The Firefighter's Association (because I am a wimp when they call, and I can't say no).
List three ways you have volunteered your time/services.
1. Again, this is more of a responsibility and a blessing, but I often teach Bible classes at our church.

2. My cleaning schedule (I used to hide this so my friend wouldn't think I was crazy; now I hide it because they would know I don't stick to it).
3. Depending on the company, sometimes I hide my children at their Grandma's house. :)

1. My keys.
2. My daughter (I regularly "lose" her at the ballpark; she's quite social).
3. My wallet.

I like historical fiction too!
How cute that you hide your kids at grandma's and how fun for her! And I love that you lost your girl, I've been known to lose a kid or 4 along the way at different times. Glad I'm not/was the only one!
I would totally hide my cleaning schedule too ! I don't have one anymore though. Drove me crazy ! For me it highlighted all the things I didn't do rather than gave me a sense of accomplishment over the things I did.
Great meme.
Thing I am most likely to lose - my cleaning schedule...under the pile of clutter :)
Hey Lauren,
Thanks for joining the tour and playing along! Loved your answers. ")
Blessings,
Tricia
The comment about your cleaning schedule was very funny! I like to say that I invite people over to bless them; not to impress them.
