Disney World Q&A

I figured that since I'm a bit of a Disney um, expert/fanatic/frequent traveler, it might be fun to do a Q&A post for people who haven't traveled there yet or are currently planning a trip.

While I am by no means an expert, I do have lot of experience and have stayed at a few different resorts (2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013).  And, honestly, I love talking Disney and helping people plan their days - and with kids of all ages (and boys and girls), I have lots of thoughts!  And, I need a reason to post our PhotoPass pictures from this year!  Ha!

So leave a comment below or on Facebook, and I will answer it (and I might also be planning our next trip).

  1. I have so many questions that I don't even know where to start! I am planning to take Frankie November 2015. I wanted to go when it is decorated for Christmas. I find the process of planning a trip there a little overwhelming. So first where would you recommend staying? The economy hotels seem like they would be more fun for a little one, but the reviews are so mixed.

  2. Id love your reviews on the places to stay. This time we were at the swan and dolphin bc that's where Matt's conference was. It felt very 'conference hotel' and not Disney. However we loved the location of it. So thinking next time we may do the yacht and beach club. We loved walking to Epcot or taking the water taxi to Hollywood studios...this was our 3rd trip and by no means do I feel like an expert. We love Disneyland too. We plan on taking our littles there for their first trip like we did with Hudson and Harper.

I'm curious your take on the meal plan. We've done it and this time we didn't. I have thoughts on both. And the new fast pass system??? Not a fan. They have really cracked down big time!!

Can't wait for our next visit! And will enjoy reading your tips!!

  3. Is Gwen (3) too young?? Is it a waste of money until they are a bit older? How do you handle Disney with an infant?? Your fav place to stay {on a budget}?

  4. We are planning to go the end of May as soon as school is out - my oldest kids (7 and 6) were there Christmas 2012, but my 2-1/2 year old has never been. How many rides will we need to skip at MK because he's too small? I'm guessing he can be a lap rider on Buzz Lightyear, Dumbo, Peter Pan, etc but wanted to make sure. Also what's your fav character meal? Thanks!
