Christmas Program 2015

After Thanksgiving comes Christmas! I was a substitute at the preschool 4 days the week before break, and she had to go to the MWF class and the T/Th class.  Since those two classes had two different programs, she had a "dress rehearsal" before her actual program!

On Monday, she sang at the same time as Hudson's class.

Hudson has such a great class (I know because I've been in there as a sub, too).

They both got very animated during their performance of "Feliz Navidad".

I had to go back to class during Hudson's party, but Brian was able to squeeze in a selfie!

And it was like, 85 degrees that day, so Hudson had to pack some "comfy" clothes so he could be more weather appropriate!  We had CRAZY weather the week of Christmas.

 Brian came back the next day for Finley's second performance and for her "actual" class party.

And I was able to sneak over for a second before I had to head back to class!  She is 100% my mini-me!

Backing It Up

In case you missed it...Halloween was two months ago.  I am going to try to get better at this blogging thing because I love being able to look back on the bigger kids when they were little - and I have become a massive slacker lately.  But I suppose Instagram and Facebook are easier places to share life events now!

Now that Finley is in preschool, she finally gets to be a part of the school programs.  It rained for her first Pumpkin Patch Parade, making it more of a Pumpkin Patch in Pre-K.  But she practiced her songs and rocked her "Witch's Brew."

We went to hang out with Doc McStuffins in her class party for a little bit.  She loves a party!

As always, Reese has her own Halloween style.  Orange and black sparkles everywhere!

Hudson's Pre-K class is full of Pumpkin Patch Parade pros.  My person favorite was the "one little, two little, three little witches, flying on their brooms and jumping over ditches," complete with Hudson's really great little leaps.  He was smooth!

We had two Disney Junior "stars" and two Star Wars characters for Halloween.  Hudson was a great Miles from Tomorrowland.  Once his birthday came the next week, he was able to complete the costume with a blast board and a comquest.  He was VERY excited!

Reese's softball team played their final game on Halloween, so they dressed up in costumes. She was a softball playing vampire, but couldn't keep the teeth in. These girls were undefeated all season!  Reesie hit her stride at the plate and found that she really enjoys catching. She can't wait to get back on the field! 

We were able to Trick or Treat with Colin and Piper this year because he had a late baseball game nearby.  These six had a lot of fun running from house to house - even though Finley doesn't look impressed!

And to ease the pain of Halloween being over, we left on our 2015 Disney Vacation the next morning!

Reese's Spring Program

We had Spring Programs at school last week.  Reese and Hudson had their performances on different days, so we got to go twice!

Last year was bittersweet for Wyatt because it was his final time participating at preschool, and this year was Reese's final performance.  We think. We think.  We are really going back and forth constantly about what to do with her.  We LOVE their preschool, but we feel much more at peace with the idea of sending her to public Kindergarten than we did when we were making the decision about her big brother!  We know the public school now and we love it, so it's making the decision a little tougher.

This scatterbrained mom forgot to grab the SD card out of the computer before we left for school, so even though I had my Canon (and even got snap happy with it before I realized my mistake), all I've got to show for the day are iPhone pictures!

They sang their songs and then went back to class for their party.  They followed the party up with an Easter Egg Hunt!

And of course the Easter Bunny showed up to surprise them all!

I can't believe how big she's gotten since she started school three years ago - and she's learned so much!  I know she'll miss her preschool, but she is soooo excited to go to school with Wyatt again next year!

Reese's Christmas Program

Reese's Christmas Program was the day after Huddoo's, and it was also the same day as Wyatt's class Christmas party.  I felt a little rushed that morning, but she was so excited and cute that I definitely felt less anxious!

Is this her last Christmas program?  Maybe?  I'm so, so, SO torn.  I would love for her to have the same Kindergarten experience as Wyatt (seriously, I can't say enough about how phenomenal their school and Kindergarten program is - I literally tell everyone I know to send their kids there.  And I send text messages out when it's application time - after I send mine in, of course!), but she's using up her tuition budget in Pre-K this year!  HA!

She LOVES her programs.  The singing and "the moves."  Obviously, this smiles proves it.

BFF'S.  I don't even have to ask Reese who she plays with at school.  The answer is always Emma and Griffin!  They're already making "Ring Dancing" plans for high school.

Ready to eat!  She ate less than I have ever seen her eat at a program - she didn't even ask for seconds!

This was Hudson's "December smile."  Seriously.  He spent our whole Disney vacation giving us real smiles, and apparently forgot to show his teeth at Christmas!

Reesie and Daddy! He had vacation time to burn at the end of the year, so he basically had the last three weeks of December off of work.  His first day back at work in January was painful for the kids. 

(Okay, and me.  Because Finley stood at the front door screaming for him all day.  Before his vacation she only wanted me.  Bummer.)

She wanted a picture with her class elf, Carlos.  Sadly, you can only see Carlos' hands at the top of the tree in the picture.  Oops - don't tell Reesie!

That box wrapped in princess paper had a puzzle in it - that she put together every. single. day. over break!  Teachers always know the best thing to get their students - and this was a home run.  At one point I walked in her room over Christmas to find the carpet replaced by puzzles - her puzzles, Wyatt's puzzles, Hudson's puzzles.  It was insanity!

Hudson's Christmas Program

Hudson's Christmas Program was so fun! This was actually only our second three year old performance - Wyatt's was cancelled because of snow when he was three.

Loved his little Santa hat.  And I can't believe he kept it on his head.  He is a notorious refuser of hats.

He also actually practiced the songs at home before the program.  When Wyatt was three (really, much closer to 4), he told me that he didn't remember the songs, they were supposed to be a surprise for us, and he wasn't going to sing them for me.  And then the program got cancelled.  So we got nothing.

Hudson was shouting "Feliz Navidad" from his bed at nap time every day.  

Kids, man. They're all so different!

I  kind of adore this picture of him.  I keep calling it his "Presidential wave."  I feel like I've seen every President give this same smile and wave while they're walking to their helicopter - maybe he's just practicing!  HEB 2048 - Ha!

After his "grand finale" we went back to his class room for a few minutes.  It's always fun for us to see him interact with his friends.  Especially when he comes home and spends his day telling us that "C is Colby, F is for Fletcher, and M is for Mason!  And H is MY letter!  H for Huddoo!"

Whew!  I'm glad I could get his Christmas Program posted before the Spring Program - Reese's will have to wait!
