I know that I say this every month - but where has the time gone?! I feel like I was just pregnant with this little guy, and I can't remember what it was even like to be a family of 4. He is just such a joy!
- He is about 19 pounds. He is huge and heavy, and our neighbors who are Red Sox fans call him "Big Papi!" But we still like them :). Ha!
- Wears size 3 diapers comfortably - and he now wears Target's Up & Up diapers. And I feel like I am constantly changing him! Is it time to potty train him yet :)?
- He is wearing 6 and 9 month sleepers, as well as 9 month and 12 month clothes. He is getting so big! I went shopping at Carter's the other day because they were having a clearance sale for their summer clothes, and got him some 2T things for next summer. I am seriously broken up about that.
- He still gets his milk from mommy, and he loves his solids! There hasn't been a veggie or fruit yet that he's turned away (although he came pretty close with peas)! His favorite food so far was actually carrots and broccoli with a little bit of garlic. Crazy! He also loves Gerber Puffs and Yogurt Melts (that's how I keep him entertained during swimming lessons).
- I'm not going to talk about his sleeping habits. Because I really like the way things are going, and well, every time I talk about his sleep habits it backfires. So assume what you will :)!
- His schedule has become a lot more routined lately. He wakes up around 6 or 7, plays and has breakfast, and then takes a short nap. He takes a long nap around noon with the big kids and is usually able to stay awake until at least 7. Unless he wakes up early from his nap and needs to go to bed early - which is what he did today!
- He says Dada, touchdown, and hi. Seriously. If you throw your hands up in the air and say "touchdown!," he says "da-down!" Too cute!
- He loves to sit on the floor and play with his toys. He barely tolerates the exersaucer. The swing hasn't been used in week. But he loves his jumper. LOVES it. He looks so stinking cute jumping in that thing, I can barely stand it.
- He has one more tooth that is cutting. So fun (dripping with sarcasm).
- He has gotten really good at rolling around the room to get where he wants to be. Every time I put him down I think it will be his time to crawl because he is sooooo close! I even took the video camera out yesterday to record him crawling for the first time - but he wouldn't do it! I've also gotten less enthused about movement since Wyatt started crawling and walking. It's not all that it's cracked up to be!
- He likes to stand assisted, too - sometimes I think he might start walking before he crawls!
- His personality is just so sweet. He just makes the cutest little babbles, and he smiles and laughs at everyone. He is generally a Momma's boy (and really a Daddy's boy), but he's started to reach for other people too, which is so cute (and nice for me)!
This picture really just says it all. I LOVE this little guy so much!
Awww what a cute boy! My boy is also 8 months...and yes teething stinks! You have such an adorable family. Thanks for stopping by my blog from Jenna's and for your sweet comments!
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure the put crack in those yogurt melts. Hunter gets so upset when there are no more on his tray and asks for more (even though he has goldfish and puffs on his tray). They make some good money off of us with those things!
ReplyDeleteHappy 8 months Hudson! My littlest guy is just a month younger than you!
ReplyDeleteStopping by from Jenna's! Your youngest little boy and my youngest little girl are about 2 weeks apart. We have three girls who are 4, 2 and 8 months! It is always fun to find blogs who are in similar stages as me.
ReplyDeleteHaven't dropped by your blog in so long - he is GORGEOUS! I do have a soft spot for red-heads though, mine is now 6 1/2 years :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a handsome little man. Happy 8 months!!!
