We had a lot of fun this weekend! Friday was pretty boring, we did some shopping (it's tax free weekend on school supplies and clothes!) and then hung out at home. The kids went to bed early and I "happy hour'ed" in the court with our neighbors!
On Saturday we went to the park with our neighbors, and the kids had a blast! I'd driven by the park before, but we'd never been, and the kids had so much fun. We're definitely going back because there is a huge field for the kids to play on. We'll probably bring a soccer ball next time, too!
After the park, we met up with my mom so that she could do a little back to school shopping for the kids! Wyatt got a few new shirts, but the store didn't really have anything in Reese's size. She was a little disappointed until she realized that she was going to get to go swimming!
And boy, was she excited! She has been doing such a wonderful job swimming all summer, but she's still been leery of the diving board. Until Saturday!
She took her first jump - and she kept going back for more!
We went to our friend Audrey's second birthday party yesterday, but only after this little guy took a bath! He had his first experience eating real oatmeal that morning. He loved it, but he got a little messy!
The slip and slide was out at the party. It took the boys a little while to get the hang of it, but they were sliding in no time!
And they had a ton of fun!
Of course, my boys are happy any time that there's kool aid (and the kids were beyond excited when they found out that Daddy was actually going to come with us to the party on a work day)!
And Reese got to practice her new found love of pushing Hudson in a swing! She feels like such a big girl when she gets to help.
We dropped Brian back off at work after the party, and after we got home the kids had some quiet time watching Beauty and the Beast. I finished up a little more school shopping online (it was tax free for online purchases, too!), and did a few things for Reese's birthday party - I can't believe that she is going to be three in two and a half weeks! So crazy, and I'm hoping that her birthday comes with all happy memories this year, and not the NICU memories that first come into my mind! I just want to celebrate this little girl turning three years old!
It sounds like a fun weekend! You have beautiful children.
