Wyatt's Birthday Party

We celebrated Wyatt's 7th birthday last weekend with a party at the zoo.  Again.  And again.  And again.

I'm going to let the pictures do most of the talking here :).

He wanted a hockey cake this year.  We just had the bakery make a hockey rink on the cake and we added his hockey guys.  Wyatt orchestrated the game.  Including the fight.
Reesie and Sophie spent most of the time before the party talking about how they were NOT going to touch a snake!
But Wyatt did (and Reese did, too)!
They had a few other animals that they kids could look at - a scorpion and a chinchilla.  Wyatt was able to touch the chinchilla, but no one else was.
Cake time with Evan and Derek!
After the party, our group set out to explore the zoo.

Cousins and zoo explorers - Derek, Wyatt, and Colin.
And Piper and Reese are cousins and colorful girls!
Wyatt had a really great party.  We were so happy so many of his favorite people were able to celebrate with him!

Happy Birthday (Party), Hudson!!!!

Yesterday was Hudson's birthday party.  I tried to keep this one low key...and I succeeded in a big way.

I didn't go overboard on the decorations, we ordered pizzas and had store bought cupcakes.  I filled a pinata with candy and put a pin the tail on the donkey game up on the wall...and we didn't use either.
Writing on this chalkboard was about all the real effort I put in (besides cleaning the house)!
The kids ran around my backyard for almost the entire party, and then came inside for cupcakes.  It was a gorgeous day for playing outside, and they all took full advantage!

This guy loved blowing out his candle and eating his cupcake!
After cupcakes we opened some presents, and then his friends left.  Their cousins stayed for a little bit longer, and did they ever love getting in some extra cousin time running around our (completely dark) backyard some more!

Hudson spent the rest of the night with his Daddy,
and showing his brother his new toys!
We're so thankful that so many people came out to celebrate Huddoo's birthday!!! Happy third birthday, Hudson!!!

Reese's 5th Birthday Party

Reese had a BLAST at her birthday party.  She really wanted an "art party," but we just didn't think that the local pottery painting place was a great idea.  So she went with her next favorite option - The Little Gym.
(it's where we celebrated her third and fourth birthdays, too).

She loved it when her friends all came to give her high fives or hugs.  She loves her friend Emma, and she's so excited for them to be in a class together again this year!
She loved that they asked her what she wanted to do - and she quickly responded with "hula hoops, and bubbles, Simon Says, and hide and seek."  Things got awkward when they asked Reese to be "Simon" and she said, "Simon says, everybody poop your pants."  This child.  That is all Brian's fault by the way.  He says it to make them laugh, and well, they really think it's funny.
Reesie with some of her favorite people - Audrey, Ryan, Piper and Mady.
All the kiddos playing a game against their parents.
This was part of the game.  Wyatt may have thought this was a game of dodgeball.  He takes it seriously!
Reesie and Huddoo bouncing.  She grabbed his hand and took him up with her!
All the kiddos at the party!
Sweet cousins!
And more cousins!
Blowing out her birthday cupcake.  Do you think she was excited?!?

1st Birthday for the Little Guy

Yesterday (the day before his actual birthday) Wyatt had his first birthday party. Family and friends came over and we celebrated his party in baseball style. Hamburgers, hot dogs, peanuts and cracker jacks (which were a big hit) were served before our one year old started eating his cake! Harris Teeter actually has this cool program for VIC Card holders to get a free small cake for babies on their first birthday. You have to sign up for it early (like two months before the birthday), but it was a pretty cool deal. And we LOVED the way his big cake came out. Brian and I just wish we'd gotten a little :)! All in all, the Wyatt had fun playing with his cousins and his friend Tyler and he got a lot of fun new toys for he and Daddy to play with. He says thank you to every one that came!
