Baseball Guy

Baseball season is in full swing! We have our t-ball superstar (she is probably most well known on her team for her speed), and our big boy playing Coach Pitch!

Notice how angry he looks here?  It was a rough game.

 I don't really remember what happened, but there was a mid game huddle about hustling.  And quite possibly how they need to hit the cut off man (which sounds violent if you don't know anything about baseball).  Brian may have also had a fun conversation with the umpire about possession of the ball.

 This kid loves to catch.  He actually did an awesome job behind the plate.  Even though he was a little angry with the other team's pitcher.  Yeah, since it's "coach pitch" that was actually the coach.  For the other team.

This kid.  He has the passion, he just needs to tone it down a bit.  Sportsmanship is a constant work in progress.  Brian benched him last Saturday because of some problems he was having with his attitude, but he still got to hit.  So he told me he was the designated hitter.  Back to the drawing board.

 Last Saturday was L-O-N-G.  8AM socccer, 12PM tee ball, and 3PM baseball. 

And then he had All Star tryouts.  For 7 year olds.

I know.  I struggled with the idea of him trying out and him playing for an All Star team at 7.  But he wants to play baseball all summer long, and because of Brian's busy schedule he doesn't get to play as much as he wants to over the summer.   He was so nervous, but he had an awesome tryout and he made the team! Exciting!
